Why I’m going back
Year 1 changed more than what I knew. It changed how I live.
I originally went to BSSM because I felt God leading me there. People around me confirmed it, and even though I didn’t fully know what the year would look like, I knew I needed to go.
One of the biggest things was learning to actually know God as a Father—not just know about Him as one. I found freedom from constantly feeling guilty and like I was doing something wrong.
I learned how God meets me in some of the hardest moments of my life. I experienced Him as someone who restores, delivers, and stays with me through the process. I also learned to recognize His voice and trust that He can speak to me and work through me too.

I volunteered where children from difficult backgrounds experience healing and connection through rescued horses.

Every day we listened to people’s stories, encouraged them, and prayed with them. I prayed for dozens of people during the trip.
